April show-ers

MADELINE BEAUDRY

The-HerbalistFiber artist Madeline Beaudry will be showing new work at the The Artists Cooperative Gallery of Westerly during the month of April.  There will be an opening this coming Friday, April 3rd, 5-8 PM. April’s featured artists, Dan Marantz and Gale Loch, present “Street Smarts- Observations from the Road”. Come and join us!

RICHARD HEINES

DSC01084Also during the month of April, woodturner Richard Heines will have several pieces on display at the Kettle Pond Visitor Center in Charlestown. Works by painter Peggy Field will also be featured. The Center’s Community Artists Program is a continuing effort to connect visitors to nature, by displaying nature inspired art work at the Center. A reception will be held on Sunday, April 12 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM. Try to stop by for a visit and refreshments.

The Visitor Center is located at 50 Bend Road, directly off Route 1 in Charlestown, Rhode Island. It is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Sunday. Admission is free. For additional directions and information visit: Ninigret Wildlife Refuge or call: 401.364.9124.

Lively Experiments

JayLacouture_smLongtime HopArts member, Jay Lacouture, is one of the main advisors to the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) which is having its national conference, Lively Experiments, this week in Providence. The event runs March 24 –28. Many of the evens and activities are  free and open to the public.

Studio Trail Application Online

2015-PDF-APP-FORM_Page_1The application form for this year’s Studio Trail is now available. It’s best to use the online form if possible. If not, there’s a PDF file of the form available for you to download.

This year we’re increasing the number of images of your work you can submit to 6. This will allow you to display a wider variety of  your work.

The application deadline is moved up to May 15. Extended to June 15.
