Thank you for your interest in joining HopArts! Artist members have the following benefits in 2024:
- Participation in any juried or open HopArts event
- $35 discount on fee to join the Studio Trail on October 19th and 20th, 2024
- Discount to any workshops or ticketed events
- Name and images of artistic work listed on the HopArts website
- Special artist-only newsletters
- Invitations to members-only events
- Voting rights during the Annual Meeting
- Eligible to hold a seat on the Board of Directors
AGREEMENT
- Your application is a contractual agreement between HopArts and you. HopArts agrees to set up the logistics and promotion of events.
- You agree to present artworks that are created only by you and demonstrate artistic originality, mastery in the medium, creativity and craftsmanship in its making.
- The Board of Directors reserves the right to select exhibitors based on type and quality of work, timeliness and completeness of application.
- New high quality images (300 dpi, 1024 x 768 pixels minimum) of you and your work should be submitted with your application to assure accurate representation in media materials.
- Participating artists who attend HopArts events must provide a current retail sales permit number in the application and take action to acquire the exemption to be able to sell art tax free. Here are the steps to follow:As an artist, you will not qualify for the sales tax exemption automatically; you must take two steps:1.) Register for a retail sales permit and pay the required $10 permit fee. You can register and pay the permit fee online or use the print version of the registration form (known as the āBusiness Application and Registrationā form, or BAR form).2.) File an āApplication for Sales Tax Exemption for Artistic Works.ā
