As a self taught artist, Sherri Desjardins has been painting for 37 years and has commissioned works in private collections in the US, Ireland and the UK. For many years she focused on oil landscapes and florals. In the past 10 years she has explored expressing emotion, color and texture with oil and cold wax and found she loves the process.  Sherri also enjoys jewelry design and assembly and was recently awarded a patent for one of her bracelet designs. She conducts “paint and sip” classes at her studio, The Village Place, and encourages patrons to explore their creativity. Sherri finds it a thrill to watch someone, who has serious doubts about their creativity, pick up a paint brush and abandon their fears, leaving the studio happy with their piece and a new found desire to create.
