Sharon Lefebvre

Sharon Lefebvre‘s love of art in any form has followed many paths over the years, but more than 15 years ago, she was introduced to the gorgeous and vibrant medium of soft pastel. Since then she has derived much joy in putting beautiful color and form to paper.

Sharon has studied with many nationally and internationally regarded artists and teachers of soft pastel. This luminous medium has been celebrated over the centuries by many great artists such as Rosalba Carriera, Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, Jean Francois Millet, William Merritt Chase, Wolf Kahn and many others. She is a member of the South County Art Association, Lyme Art Association, Pastel Painters of Cape Cod, and Wickford Art Association where she has won several awards.

“Sources of inspiration surround me in the amazingly beautiful countryside of New England – from the glorious coastlines of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine, to the serene lakes and mountains of New Hampshire, the beautiful backroads of Connecticut and the beloved hills and pastures of Vermont. Travelling recently through Ireland has opened new doors to explore the beauty of the world. These gifts of place inspire me to describe them through my art.”
